Wellness Event
Smith Lake Farm is my happy place—no question about it. Back in 2020, my wife (gotta give credit where it’s due!) found this gem when we were hunting for a fun, local family getaway. On a whim, we booked a long weekend in their tiny house by the lake, and it ended up being the highlight of our summer. Between swimming, zip-lining in the forest, and sneaking away to the sauna for a little peace and quiet, it was the ultimate family escape here on Vancouver Island — the kind of experience that makes me love creating Vancouver Island video and Comox Valley video stories about places that truly mean something.
Since then, we’ve made it an annual tradition. Over the years, I’ve built a great friendship with the owner, Clea. Her passion for the farm and dedication to community is contagious. One of the highlights is her annual wellness event, which brings together local businesses and artisans for a truly inspiring day. With activities spread across the barn and yurts in the forest, it’s a beautiful celebration of health, creativity, and connection — and the perfect setting for meaningful Comox video storytelling.
Capturing this event on film was such an honor. It felt amazing to contribute to sharing the magic of this incredible place and the people working hard to promote wellness in our community. Projects like this are exactly why I do what I do through Comox Valley video and Vancouver Island video — highlighting real people, real passion, and the special spaces that bring us together. 🎥🌿✨
Wolf Blossom
Wolf Blossom’s creative process is a journey that starts with daydreaming and evolves into stunning, one-of-a-kind bags made with heart and soul. Filming Amy in her element was inspiring, and it was clear that her craft is about much more than just products; it’s about creating something deeply meaningful for her customers.
North West by Nature
Jamie creates “wearable art” that inspires West Coasters to get outside and embrace every season—rain, snow, or sunshine. So when it came time to film her brand story, we knew we had to capture her in her element. The timing was perfect: fall leaves down in the valley and fresh snow on the mountains. In just two weeks, we filmed across stunning landscapes, creating the perfect backdrop to showcase her products and share Jamie's passion for the environment and her community.
“Working with Mathew has been such a blast! His vision for showcasing our farm and four generations working together has been incredible. He captured the heart and passion behind what we do in a way that's captivating to watch and hear. We appreciated his flexibility with our schedule and the joy he brought to every shoot. As a dad, he knew just how to engage our kids and even showed them snippets of his work, which they loved. We can't wait to collaborate on future projects and see how Mathew brings our events, products, and stories to life. These films will be invaluable for sharing who we are and what we do. Thank you, Mathew!”
