West Coast Candle Co

Turning Passion into purpose, the story of West Coast Candle Co 🌿✨
I first met Montana at a local farm, where she was selling her health products from West Coast Candle Co at a small vendor market. Her energy lit up the whole place — no joke, I could feel it from the other side of the farm! You know within seconds that she’s full of passion and love for what she does.
We started chatting, and she told me how much she enjoyed my work at Hometown Creative — how every video I make helps people feel that human connection. I was flattered, and it was awesome to hear that because connecting with people is always my main goal. Naturally, I asked about her business, and she started sharing her story.
Montana told me how she started West Coast Candle Co with her best friend, who sadly passed away just as the business was taking off. She also shared how her battle with Lyme disease opened her eyes to the power of natural healing products and the difference they can make for people facing tough health challenges. 💚 It was inspiring, and I knew I wanted to set up a follow-up chat to learn more and see if we could work together.
Fast forward six months, and here we are working on this special project together. It was important to me that we highlight some of the huge challenges Montana faced early on — her story not only builds trust with her customers, showing she truly understands their struggles, but also creates a personal connection that’s incredibly powerful.
I’m so grateful to Montana and her mom Carol for trusting Hometown Creative to tell such a personal story and let me create the exact Vancouver Island video I envisioned. That kind of trust is everything to a creative — it lets us do our best work!
This project also gave me a chance to capture some of my favourite spots in the Comox Valley, showcasing not only the raw natural beauty of Vancouver Island but also the magical healing power of the area. 🌲✨
I hope you enjoy Montana’s story and seeing West Coast Candle Co come to life on screen as much as I enjoyed creating this truly west coast inspired video for her.
