Khatsahlano Street Party

Khatsahlano Street Party

I had an absolute blast filming the West 4th Avenue Khatsahlano Street Party this year! 🎥🎉 As someone who lived in Vancouver for nearly 20 years, it felt amazing to be back in the city I love—camera in hand, soaking in all the energy, and capturing one of the biggest and most vibrant events around.

There’s just something about Vancouver in the summer ☀️🌆—and events like Khatsahlano remind me exactly why I fell in love with this city in the first place. From the second I hit record, it was non-stop action: live music on multiple stages, crowds buzzing with good vibes, street performers doing their thing, and so many local artisans, food stalls, and patios to explore 🍔🎨🍻.

Khatsahlano is Vancouver’s largest free music and arts festival, taking over 10 full blocks of West 4th Avenue—from Burrard to MacDonald! Created back in 2011 by the Kitsilano West 4th Avenue Business Association, it’s grown into a full-on street takeover in the best way possible.

It was such a treat to be part of it all—filming, creating, and just soaking up the chaos and creativity of a city that truly knows how to party. 💃🕺 Vancouver, you never disappoint.

Also… pretty sure I walked the equivalent of a small marathon that day. So yes, I got all my steps in. 😂📱👣
